TV technology provider Norigin Media has launched Cloudncoder.com, a live-TV capture and transcoding platform.
Norigin said that the private cloud has a pay-as-you-go business model “to make online live-TV management affordable,” and is aimed at broadcasting companies, news agencies, ad agencies, live content producers and enterprise customers needing to distribute linear channels or live events.
The platform is CDN-agnostic, can capture IP-feeds from around the world and downlink European Satellite signals, and is most suitable for “long-tail linear content within OTT services, disaster recovery or live events,” according to Norigin.
“Cloundncoder.com fills a gap where infrastructure for online Live TV management becomes affordable and well supported. The Scandinavian Cloud TV platform will provide the best-in-class quality hosting services across the globe,” according to Norigin Media CEO Ajey Anand.
