Channel provider SPI International/Filmbox has made its FilmBox Arthouse, Fast&FunBox and FightBox services available on the WorldRelay platform.
WorldRelay markets independent TV channels for distribution with tablets and smart TVs worldwide, along with radio, webcam, and user-generated content all in one place. The service is available today on the iPhone, iPad and Apple TV platforms. Android, and set-top box versions will be available later this year.
WorldRelay subscribers now have access to FilmBox Arthouse channel, the FightBox 24-hour martial arts channel with live MMA and the Fast&FunBox extreme sports service.
“We are very excited about our partnership with SPI International. The ‘Box’ channels stand out from traditional cable channels with their originality, independence, and European flair. Our Beta testing has shown a great deal of interest in these channels in North America and we are confident that our subscribers will love them,” said Troy Harvey, vice-president of content acquisition at WorldRelay.
“We are glad to introduce our channels on the WorldRelay as this service can reach subscribers worldwide,” said Loni Farhi, president of SPI International.
“We have been working hard on creating a package of thematic channels with a global distribution and viewership potential and WorldRelay is just the right partner with whom we make our channels easily accessible on various screens anywhere in the world.”
