Apple’s new version of its Apple TV streaming device will include a redesigned remote with a touch-pad control, according to a New York Times report.
Citing an employee briefed on the revamped Apple TV, which is expected to launch next month, the NYT reported that the new remote will have two buttons and a touch-pad for scrolling.
The remote will reportedly be slightly larger than Apple TV’s current generation three-button remote control and will be the first change to the controller since Apple introduced Apple TV in 2007.
Apple is tipped to announce a new version of Apple TV at its Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco in June.
