Sky and Telecom Italia select Wyplay to power TV decoders

Sky, in cooperation with Telecom Italia, are deploying a broadband HD TV decoder powered by Frog By Wyplay.

Telecom Italia has partnered with Sky to make the full Sky TV service available to their ‘ultra-broadband’ customers, in a deal that was first agreed last year and that will extend Sky’s reach to non-satellite homes in Italy.

Wyplay, a developer of software solutions for IPTV, cable, satellite and terrestrial TV operators and broadcasters, said that it has provided its Frog Client software solution for the Sky HD decoders. It has also supplied its Frog back-end software solution – hybrid service platform for IPTV and broadcast operators.
