SVT adds two regional channels

Swedish public broadcaster SVT is launching two new regional channels on the country’s digital-terrestrial network, adding to the 19 regional offshoots it currently operates.

The two new channels, SVT Helsingborg and SVT Sodertalje, will air local content in the mornings and evenings.

SVT is also changing the names of a number of its existing regional services. All channels will be broadcast in standard definition and HD, except SVT Helsingborg and SVT Sörmlandsleden, which are available in SD only.
