Vodafone España is planning to adopt the TiVo platform used by cable unit Ono for its own TV service, according to local reports.
According to local website ADSLZone.net, Vodafone plans to launch a cloud-based version of the TiVo platform currently available to Ono customers that will also be available to mobile customers, although no official announcement has been made.
Vodafone last year launched Vodafone Box, a hybrid DTT and OTT TV offering targeted at its own fixed-line and mobile customers that allowed them to receive a range of OTT TV content from the Canal+ Yomvi service.
