Wuaki.tv hires iTunes exec to head business development

OTT video-on-demand provider Wuaki.tv has hired former Apple iTunes executive Sébastien Janin to head international business development. 

Janin has worked for iTunes , where he was responsible for launching and managing the roll out of the iTunes film service in Europe and Latin America, for the last eight years. For the last two years he has headed up iTunes’ international independent film business, securing day and date releases for movies across European countries. Before the joined Apple, Janin spent 12 years as vice-president of home entertainment at Studiocanal.

Wuaki.tv has set a target of being available in 10 European contreis by the end of this year. The service launched in Italy in February and plans to roll out in Ireland and Austria in the second quarter.
