Polish pay TV operator Cyfrowy Polsat has reported strong growth of SmartDOM customers, the multi-play offering it introduced following its acquisition of mobile player Polkomtel. The operator had 569,000 SmartDOM customers at the end of last year taking a total of 1.753 million services.
Cyfrowy Polsat’s SmartDOM offer allows customers to purchase the second product with a 50% discount, and the third one for as little as PLN1 (€0.24).
Overall, Cyfrowy Polsat has 16.5 million revenue-generating units at the end of last year, of which 75% were mobile contract customers following its integration of mobile player Polkomtel in May.
Cyfrowy Polsat’s consolidated revenue from services, products, goods and materials sold in 2014 increased to PLN7.41 billion, up from PLN2.91 billion in 2013 prior to the Polkomtel acquisition, while its net profit amounted to PLN292.5 million. EBITDA profit amounted to PLN 2,738.3 million with EBITDA margin of 37.0%.
