Eutelsat is due to launch its first all-electric satellite, Eutelsat 115 West B, on March 1.
The satellite, which arrived in Cape Canaveral on January 25, is due to launch on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and will extend Eutelsat’s reach of the Americas to markets in Alaska and Canada.
Eutelsat 115 West B will replace the Eutelsat 115 West A satellite that operates in inclined orbit at 114.9° West and will focus particularly on data services, including broadband access, cellular backhaul, VSAT solutions and social connectivity.
