Modern Times Group’s on-demand service Viaplay in Sweden has picked up Amazon original drama Mozart in the Jungle.
The series is produced by Amazon Studios and plays exclusively on its Prime Instant Video service in the UK, US and Germany. The pilot was penned Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore) and follows a New York classical musician.
Amazon greenlit a second season of the show yesterday. Like most Amazon originals, it is distributed by Sony Pictures Television.
Viaplay Sweden added that it also set to launch another show from the distributor, season two of The Blacklist.
It will also launch Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution-distributed drama Backstrom.
