Newsreel archive rights holder British Pathé has chosen cloud-based multichannel network Rightster , as its global online video partner both on YouTube and across Rightster’s publisher network.
Rightster will manage British Pathé’s entire YouTube business comprising about 85,000 videos, with a particular focus on audience development and revenue generation. The partnership will also aim to attract a younger audience, specifically between the ages of 16 and 24, to the archive footage.
Rightster will also work with British Pathé to syndicate its online video content across Rightster’s global network of over 7,500 additional publishers.
“British Pathé has a vast amount of historical content and by working with Rightster, one of the leading multi-platform networks, we will be able to reach new levels of viewer engagement and take our content to the right audience, on the right platform at the right time,” said Roger Felber, CEO, British Pathé.
