KPN to launch TV everywhere

KPNDutch telco KPN is to extend its multiscreen TV service to enable out-of-home consumption from the end of this month.

KPN customers will from January 29 be able to view content from about 25 live channels on the go on mobile phones or tablets via mobile internet or WiFi. They will also be able to view recorded content remotely.

For KPN mobile customers, the operator is doubling the capacity available within existing bundles to enable remote viewing via 4G.

The new app will be made available to the first customers on January 29, with a target of all customers having access to it by March 7. The service is available on Android and iOS devices.

Channels available include local services from NPO, RTL and SBS, along with international content providers including Discovery and the BBC.
