Deutsche Telekom has retained its position as the leading Germany supplier of HD channels, with Kabel Deutschland catching up on Sky Deutschland and competing for second place in the HD rankings, according to analyst group Veed Analytics.
Kabel Deutschland now offers 73 HD channels after adding a number of services in the run-up to Christmas, with Unitymedia also gaining ground.
According to Veed Analytics, Deutsche Telekom remains the HD leader, with 79 pay and 25 basic HD channels, followed by Sky with 51 pay and 29 basic services. Kabel Deutschland offers 37 pay and 36 basic services. The other main suppliers of HD services in Germany are Unitymedia, Vodafone and KabelKiosk.
