HBO Go has launched on Amazon’s Fire TV device in the US and is due to go live on the Fire TV Stick this spring.
HBO subscribers will now be able to access the network’s on-demand catalogue from the Amazon TV streaming box, and use the device’s voice control to search for programmes.
“Since launch we’ve increased the number of services available on Amazon Fire TV by more than four times,” said Peter Larsen, vice president, Amazon Devices. “We’re thrilled to add HBO Go, the most requested service, to Fire TV in time for the holidays.”
Amazon claims that more than 700 apps and games are now available on Amazon Fire TV, and that on the HBO Go app alone, customers now have access to more than 1,700 programme and movie titles.
