Channel provider Scripps Networks UK and EMEA has launched its Food Network and Fine Living networks through Estonian telco service provider Elion.
Food Network and Fine Living will each launch on Elion’s TV service on January 1, giving Elion the full Scripps Networks International channel portfolio.
Food Network SD and Fine Living will join Travel Channel SD in Elion’s extended basic package, while Food Network HD and Travel Channel HD will be available in Elion’s HD package.
“Expanding our partnership with Estonia’s largest television provider further cements our growth strategy as we strive to extend our international reach,” said Jon Sichel, managing director, Scripps Networks UK and EMEA.
“Following the success of Travel Channel on the platform, Elion subscribers will soon be able to enjoy the full range of our quality lifestyle programming offering the very best in the categories we specialise in: home, food and travel.”
Elion is a subsidiary of TeliaSonera and claims to be Estonia’s leading telecom services provider. Earlier this year, TeliaSonera combined its fixed line telco Elion and mobile unit EMT under a single management structure led by Valdo Kalm, former chief executive of Eesti Telekom.
