TV4 launches Play on Chromecast

Swedish free and pay TV broadcaster TV4 has made its TV4 Play online services available via the Google Chromecast platform. 

The move will enable users of the TV4 Play mobile app to view their content directly on the TV via the Chromecast HDMI dongle. An update, available in the Google Play store, enables Chromecast users to stream the entire range of TV4 Play content, including premium content, to their TVs.

TV4 said its iOS app would support Chromecast soon.

TV4’s move follows the launch of public broadcaster SVT’s SVT Play service on Chromecast last week.
