OTT TV technology provider PeerTV’s new HEVC set-top has been approved by Russian expatriate-focused OTT service provider Kartina, clearing the way for a significant new order, according to the company.
PeerTV unveiled its latest HEVC set top box at the IBC expo in Amsterdam in September of this year. The company successfully completed a trial of its HEVC video compression technology over the web in August.
“This is an important milestone for us. Whilst we test all technology thoroughly, ultimately, it is the approval of our clients which matters most – our latest H265 STB has now passed all its tests with flying colours and we are looking forward to proceeding with fulfilling this order,” said PeerTV CEO Avi Vermus.
