UK broadcaster ITV has launched its catch-up service ITV Player on Amazon Fire tablets.
The free app is available to download now from the Amazon Appstore and gives viewers access to ITV’s live channel feeds, and thirty days-worth of catch-up content from ITV, ITVBe, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4 and CITV.
“Tablet devices are a significant driver of long form video requests for the ITV Player and we are very excited to have launched the new and improved version of the app on Fire tablets today,” said Paul Kanareck, director of online and brands at ITV.
“As second screens are increasingly becoming second TVs, we are delighted to offer an instant and immediate user experience to allow Amazon’s customers to spend more time with ITV’s fantastic content.”
