Latvian cable operator Baltcom has named a new chairman and separately launched a new multiscreen service.
Baltcom has named András Piller, formerly CEO of Hungarian transmission services company Antenna Hungária, as chairman. Piller replaces Vojko Rovere, who will become group president and continue to be responsible for strategic development.
Piller has already acted as an advisor to Baltcom since 2011, and was named to the company’s board in 2012.
He was replaced as CEO of Antenna Hungária earlier this year by András Kápolnai followng the company’s acquisition from TDF and renationalisation by the Hungarian state.
Separately, Baltcom has launched a new multiscreen service, TV Plus, which will enable viewers to watch TV on Android and iOS devices and the web, while viewing their home photos and videos, and playing music stored on their other devices, on the TV.
