Liberty Global unifies Swiss and Austrian teams, names customer chief

Liberty Global is creating a unified management team for its Austria and Swiss operations, appointing Frank Zelger to the new post of chief customer officer.

The moves follows the appointment in July of UPC Cablecom managing director Eric Tveter as CEO of both the Austrian and Swiss companies.

Liberty is now building a transnational management team for the combined Swiss and Austrian operations, headquartered in Zurich. As part of this, Zelger, previously senior vice-president, customer care and services at UPC Cablecom, will take charge of sales and customer care across both countries.

“By combining our strengths from Austria and Switzerland, we will gain ground in competition with the national providers,” said Tveter.
