Russian pay TV operator Orion Express has seen its subscriber base grow by 37% year-on-year to reach 2.41 million customers, producing revenues of RUB2.14 billion (€40 million).
The pay TV operator broke down its growth according to region, with Siberian regions producing very strong growth. These included the Amur region, where Orion’s base grew by 150%, Khabarovsk, which produced growth of 148% and Kamchatka Krai, which delivered growth of 146%.
Orion Express delivers about 250 channels via three satellites – Horizons 2, Intelsat 15 and Express AM5.
