ScreenHits TV partners with Samsung

UK-based online TV and film platform ScreenHits TV has partnered with Samsung, allowing its app to be pre-installed on Samsung Smart TVs.

ScreenHits was set up two years ago to provide a global platform for acquisition and distribution for the television, broadcast and filmed entertainment industries – at the same time as providing consumers with a first-look at screen hits from around the globe.

The ScreentHits app offers a curated collection of television programming and films from select distributors and producers, along with opportunities to view and comment on pilots.

Initially an invite-only service, ScreenHits will now give viewers instant and unlimited access to titles like Don Jon, Spartacus, Pablo Escobar, The White Queen and UK TV comedy The IT Crowd.  Viewers will also have access to a range of documentaries, art house and classics films ranging from Psycho to The African Queen.

“As we embark upon the formal launch of our site and app, we could not be happier with the partnership forged with the global leader in smart televisions, Samsung. We are providing worldwide viewers hyper-curated programming that will allow discovery of new and venerable shows and films from producers around the globe, viewers will be able to select from 200-250 selected programs and films which will change quarterly under both a free and pay program plan,” said Rose Adkins, CEO of ScreenHits.
