Multiscreen TV services firm MobiTV is powering new cloud recording capabilities for Deutsche Telekom’s Entertain to go streaming service.
MobiTV’s network nVR software solution allows recorded programs to be stored in the cloud and played on any mobile device. Entertain to go offers customers 10 hours of cloud storage with the additional option to purchase extra space.
Entertain to go delivers 40 channels of live and on-demand programming, as well as a selection of films, which can be accessed on up to four devices. With the addition of cloud recording, customers can now also view personally-recorded programs on laptops, tablets and smartphones.
“We are committed to providing customers with the most advanced options in TV viewing. Since collaborating with MobiTV to power Entertain, we are now the only company in Germany offering live TV, video on-demand and access to customers’ recorded programs across multiple screens,” said Gert von Manteuffel, vice president of product management TV at Deutsche Telekom.
