Arris has launched a new portfolio of broadband gateways to delivery multi-play services that it will showcase at the forthcoming Broadband World Forum in Amsterdam.
Arris is launching the NVG340 ADSL2+/VDSL2 and NVG370 FTTH/Ethernet gateways, which will deliver broadband and WiFi connectivity.
The NVG341 provides 2.4GHz 802.11n WiFi connectivity, while the NVG343 is a dual-band device that provides connectivity in 2.4GHz via 802.11n and in the 5GHz band via 802.11ac. Two other NVG340-series devices will also deliver VoIP connectivity.
Arris will also provide four models working in the same configuration in the NVG370 series.
Both series will be available in early 2015.
“The demands on the home gateway have become ever greater as people connect more devices and consume more online services. Arris’s new NVG series gateways meet these challenges head-on and open up new possibilities for more advanced connected home services,” said Larry Robinson, president, CPE business, Arris.
“Arris has a legacy of CPE innovation and R&D experience building extensible solutions for triple-play services. Our portfolio reflects that flexibility and expertise, and we’re excited to expand that range of solutions to our new line of NVG gateways.”
