Akado orders new set-tops from Novabase

Russian cable operator Akado has ordered an initial supply of 20,000 HD boxes from Portuguese technology provider Novabase, to be supplied via local reseller AMT Group.

The low power consumption boxes will enable viewers to record programmes via extrernal hard drives, will include pre-loaded games and will deliver easy-to-use animated menus, according to Akado.

The first batch of boxes will be available by the middle of this month and will be available for sale through the company’s website.
