Horseracing broadcaster Racing UK has re-launched an enhanced international service, giving viewers outside the UK the ability to view content on multiple devices and to view catch-up content for seven days after a race is broadcast.
Racing UK has teamed up with streaming technology platform provider Simplestream to offer its diet of horseracing from 34 UK racecourses live and on-demand to international viewers via computers, smartphones and tablets.
Simplestream’s platform enables the automated creation of high-quality on-demand assets from the live stream, enabling Racing UK to offers its coverage via a seven-days catch-up service.
“Given the many time-zones around the world, the new Racing UK international service allows viewers the opportunity to watch the very best horse racing at a time and place convenient to them. The service offers high-quality streaming which adapts to internet speed,” said Clive Cottrell, director of marketing at Racing UK.
“We have been delighted to work with Racing UK to offer a full subscription service, taking their TV channel to a global market. Using our Media Manager technology, Racing UK are able to offer international viewers the chance to access their unrivalled live streaming and seven-day catch-up service, across multiple devices for an affordable fee,” said Adam Smith, CEO of founder of Simplestream.
