German cable operator Tele Columbus has acquired overall control of BMB, the cable arm of housing group Vivawest.
Tele Columbus has now acquired all the outstanding shares of BMB, previously part of holding group and Vivawest subsidiary Marienfeld Multimedia. BMB supplies services to about 220,000 households in North Rhine Westphalia and the Ruhr area.
The acquisition increases Tele Columbus’s presence in North Rhine Westphalia, also the home turf of Liberty Global’s German cable unit Unitymedia.
The acquisition of BMB will mean that Tele Columbus will supply its cable TV and internet services to homes managed by Vivawest.
