Envivio to demo Nuage cloud video service
Envivio will demo its new end-to-end, cloud-based video solution, Nuage at IBC, as part of its latest advancements in video processing, delivery and personalisation.
Nuage is a virtualised, software-as-a-service video solution that manages content for live and on-demand video on any screen.
It encompasses all Envivio’s video processing, video delivery and personalisation technology, along with client application creation and operates as a service on private, operator-owned networks, on the public cloud, or in hybrid environments.
In terms of video processing, Envivio will showcase the latest releases of its compression and management software – MuseT 4.0 and GuruT 4.50 – and compression and preprocessing improvements in MPEG-2, AVC and HEVC.
It will demo live 10-bit Ultra-HD HEVC to Sagemcom and Technicolor set-top boxes, and MPEG-DASH streaming to Samsung Ultra HD connected TV sets.
Personalisation updates will include new apps to the Envivio portfolio, such as: Smart Cloud DVR; real-time ad targeting; and premium multi-screen VOD services such as a joint-watermarking solution with Civolution.
At IBC, Envivio will also demo additions to its Envivio HaloT multiscreen delivery service, including increased DRM support and more software efficiency for live and dynamic packaging.
“We are excited to share the latest software innovations in video processing, delivery and personalisation with pay TV operators from around the world at IBC,” said Envivio’s vice president of products and solutions, Boris Felts.
“We look forward to discussing with them our many successful case studies, including live 4K video in HEVC at the 2014 World Cup for Globosat, multi-screen time shifting and targeted advertising, as well as sharing our fully virtualised video solution Envivio Nuage – a must-see for video service providers.”
