YouTube makes Chromecast-focused update

chromecastYouTube is updating its service to make it easier for Google Chromecast users to queue up videos from the same web browser tab they are ‘casting’ videos from.

The Google-owned video site said in a post on Google+ that users of the firm’s HDMI TV streaming stick can keep playing a YouTube video as they browse and queue the next ones to play – helping viewers “lost in a sea of browser tabs.”

“Also, within the next few days you’ll see a new look for the watch page on YouTube that lets you more easily create playlists and share videos across social media, as well as puts the whole video description in one spot,” said YouTube.
