Viaccess-Orca has teamed up with set-top box providers Askey Computer Corporation and Aston, and conditional access modul manufacturer SMiT, to embed its cardless content security technology in their devices.
According to Viaccess-Orca, Askey will embed its Dynamic Sentinel cardless CAS in its HD DVR devices. Dynamic Sentinel will also be integrated wiht Aston’s HbbTV set-top platform, available in satellite, terrestrial, and cable versions, while the partnership with SMiT will enable the deliver of premium content to TVs equipped withi SMiT CAMs. The advanced CAM is compliant with CI+1.3, and provides time-shifting and HbbTV functionalities, according to Viaccess-Orca.
