A+E’s History, Crime + Investigation, Lifetime and H2 channel brands will be available through TalkTalk’s IPTV service from August 28.
History and Crime + Investigation will be available on TalkTalk’s Entertainment Extra Boost package while Lifetime and H2 will be available on both the Entertainment and Entertainment Extra Boost packages – though all TalkTalk TV customers will be able to view the channels free of charge during their opening weekend on the platform.
The A+E channel portfolio will also be available on TalkTalk’s catch-up service soon after the launch of the linear channels, with on-demand access due to follow later in 2014.
“As Britain’s fastest growing TV service, it’s fantastic to be offering our ever increasing base of TV customers more of the content they love. Our TV packages are getting richer and we’re providing even more value to our customers. This deal is yet another example of how TalkTalk TV keeps getting better,” said Henrik Karlberg, head of TV at TalkTalk.
A+E Networks UK’s VP of commercial operations, Bakori Davis, added: “We are very pleased to announce this partnership, which offers a significant opportunity for us to expand the reach of our leading factual and entertainment channels across the UK and Ireland. We’re confident that the exciting content across our portfolio will really appeal to TalkTalk’s customers.”
