Former MTV Networks chief executive Judy McGrath has joined the board of directors at e-commerce giant Amazon.
Her addition to the US firm’s board comes as Amazon builds its on-demand Prime Instant Video service around the world.
McGrath was CEO of MTV Networks (now Viacom International Media Networks) between 2004 and 2011. She has most recently been working with Sony Music Entertainment on a multimedia joint venture called No Astronauts Wanted* No Experience Necessary.
She will take up her post on October 1, and also join Amazon’s Leadership Development and Compensation Committee.
