Volia launches new movie services

Ukrainian cable operator Volia is launching its own range of movie channels, with content from suppliers including Disney, Universal, Central Partnership and ArtHouseTraffic.

The Volia Cine+ channels will be available for all Volia TV subscribers. Volia Cine+ Hit HD will include popular blockbuster movies, while Volia Cine+ HD and Volia Cine+ will include a broad catalogue of movies from different eras, across a wide variety of genres, replacing the existing Volia Kino HD service.

Volia Cine+ Legend will include global classic movies, while Volia Cine+ Mix will focus on movies from the CIS countries and European cinema.

Volia said it is investing about UAH50 million (€3 million) in launching the channels, out of a total investment in network and services of UAH300 million this year.

Volia Cine+, Volia Cine+ HD, Volia Cine+ Hit HD, Volia Cine+ Mix and Volia Cine+Legend will be available as a package for UAH30 a month, while Volia Cine+, Volia Cine+ HD, Volia Cine+ Hit HD, Volia Cine+ Mix, Volia Cine+Legend, Our Cinema (Nashe Kino), movie channel TV-XXI, Teleclub, Kids World (Detskiy Mir), Comedy TV, Cinema House (Dom Kino), Universal Channel and Our New Cinema (Nashe Novoye Kino) will be available in a VIP package for UAH45.

Volia Smart HD subscribers will also have access to Volia Cine+ HD, Volia Cine_ Hit HD, VoliaCine+ Mix, Volia Cine+ Legend and on-demand service Volia Cinema for UAH45.
