Deutsche Telekom gives Croatian unit enhanced IPTV role

Deutsche Telekom has given its Croatian subsidiary an enhanced role as a technology centre for IPTV and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS).

T-Hrvatski Telekom’s Zagreb facility will become a centre for the provision of advanced technology for IPTV, and will provide IMS technology and services for Deutsche Telekom’s subsidiaries in Slovakia, Macedonia and Montenegro.

The move is part of the One DT Europe programme launched two years ago to create greater technology efficiencies within the group. Under the programme, one member of the Deutsche Telekom group assumes responsibility for group activities in a particular sector – an initiative known as the Shared Service Centre.
