BBC names Mistry as non-exec director

dharmash mistryThe BBC has named Dharmash Mistry to its Executive Board as part of its move to strengthen the presence of non-executive directors.

Mistry will serve as a non-executive director for a three-year term from September 1. He is currently CEO of beauty business Blow Ltd and holds non-executive roles with electronics retailer Dixons Retail and financial services company Hargreaves Lansdown. Mistry will join Simon Burke, Sir Howard Stringer, Dame Fiona Reynolds, Nicholas Hytner and Alice Perkins, bringing the number of BBC non-executive directors to six.

“It is with great pleasure that I welcome Dharmash to the BBC. His wealth of experience across a wide range of businesses, as well as his extensive knowledge of digital development, will be immensely valuable to the BBC as we continue to strengthen our Executive Board,” said BBC director-general Tony Hall.
