Telekom Austria taps Vipnet for new technology chief

Telekom Austria TAG_Building1Telekom Austria has named Mladen Pejkovic as chief technology development officer.

Pejkovic is currently CEO and chief technology officer at Vipnet, Telekom Austria’s Croatian subsidiary, which operates mobile, fixed telecom and broadband, cable and DTH TV networks. He has also served as chairman of Mobilkom Austria Group’s technology board and as CEO of Telekom Austria’s Macedonian subsidiary Vip Operator.

Pejkovic will be replaced as Vipnet CEO by former Telefónica Czech Republic marketing chief Jiří Dvorjančanský, who will combine the chief executive role with that of management board member for marketing, sales and customer service, where he replaces Mario Cvitkovic.

Adrian Jezina, Vipnet board member for multimedia, cloud and fixed access since 2012, takes over the position of Vipnet CTO.

He positioned Vipnet well in difficult market conditions and has successfully transformed the company into the converged services provider. is expertise will help the Telekom Austria Group and Velcom and for sure will accelerate further technological development,” said Hannes Ametsreiter, Telekom Austria Group CEO.

“I am glad that we have got Jiri Dvorjančanský as Mladen’s successor, since he is well versed in the telecom industry with international experience and will continue with TAG convergence strategy in Croatia.”
