TV Beat names Nordic and Benelux business development chief

Audience measurment specialist TVbeat has named Rune Skogeng as vice-president of business development in the Nordics and Benelux.

Skogeng has spent the last 10 years with Modern Times Group (MTG) in a number of senior roles. After working with the group’s IPTV and cable operations across Norway and Sweden, he managed MTG’s operations in Ghana as CEO.

He then assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer for all MTG’s operations across Africa, and was responsible for launching a second free-TV station, this time in Tanzania, as well as strengthening MTG’s pay-TV channel distribution business across the continent.

Skogeng, who will take up his position at TVbeat in August, said: “By delivering TV measurement, both in real- time and on demand, TVbeat will provide insights that just haven’t been available before. It’s good news for the industry and I feel privileged to be working at the forefront of this new service.”
