Discovery Networks Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA), has started to manage the local advertising sales operations for Eurosport in Romania.
Discovery’s in-house ad sales team is now managing ad spot sales for the channel, as well as the sponsorship packages for Barclays Premier League football, which Eurosport has secured the rights to air in Romania until 2016.
Discovery Networks’ sales team in Romania already manages spot sales and ad projects on Discovery Channel, TLC and Animal Planet, with Eurosport now joining the company’s commercial portfolio.

Discovery Communications acquired a controlling stake in Eurosport earlier this year, increasing its stake from 20% to 51% in a deal that valued the sports broadcaster at €902 million.
