UPC Poland sees strong demand for Horizon app

Liberty Global-owned cable operator UPC Poland’s subscribers have downloaded its new Horizon mobile TV app 50,000 times to date, according to the operator.

The app, which was launched three weeks ago on the Google Play and Apple App Stores, allows user to view Horizon TV services on their smartphone or tablet. The service provides access to about 100 channels, including TVP1 and TVP 2, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild, BBC Lifestyle, BBC Entertainment, Eurosport, Eurosport 2 and Discovery Channel, along with on-demand services.

Horizon TV also allows remote recording, the use of the mobile app as a remote control and access to a seven-day EPG.
