CableLabs joins MoCA

Non-profit research and development body CableLabs has joined MoCA, the standard for home entertainment networking, as its latest contributor member.

CableLabs said it has been working with MoCA for years as part of a technical liaison relationship, and that its membership will allow it to provide more input and direction early in the specification development process, improving synergies between the two organisations.

“We are pleased that CableLabs has joined MoCA.  The cooperation between our two organizations is critical to keeping the cable market strong – in the U.S. and worldwide – through innovation, certification of products and specifications that are mutually beneficial to the operators and consumers,” said MoCA President, Charles Cerino.
