Russian social media leader Vkontakte to launch on smart TVs

Russian social media leader Vkontakte has tapped local interactive TV technology specialist SPB TV to provide an app for the smart TV portals of LG and Samsung in the country, according to local reports.

SPB TV’s Vkontakte app will allow users of the platform to view personal media, including photos, video and audio clips on the main TV screen.
