Vodafone Deutschland names KDG exec as regulatory chief

Vodafone Deutschland has named Kabel Deutschland executive Christophe Clément as director of legal and regulatory affairs for the new combined company.

Clément, who was responsible for legal, regulatory and public affairs, and corporate security and privacy at the cable operator, replaces Thomas Wandres, who is leaving the company.

Clément joined Kabel Deutschland in 2005, having previously served as executive director of corporate services at mobile operator E-Plus.

Vodafone Deutschland CEO Jens Schulte-Bockum said that Clément was a legal and regulatory expert who was “equally at home in the telecommunications sector as in the cable business” whose appointment highlighted the strength of both arms of the company at board level.
