UPC Poland expands WiFi hotspots

Liberty Global-owned UPC Poland has expanded its network of free WiFi hotspots to 200,000, with a commitment to increase this to 600,000 hotspots in the future. 

UPC said it would also make hotspots available in selected countries internationally.

The cable operators has made its move after piloting public WiFi in Sopot and Krakow.

The service is based on partitioning of subscribers home WiFi to create separate private and public networks.
