DNA names new CIO

Finnish service provider DNA has named Janne Aalto as its new chief information officer, replacing Taneli Ropponen, who will continue in the role of chief operating officer.

Aalto, who will take up his post on June 2, is a digital media expert and was previously responsible for advertising and publishing business at online video specialist Kiosked.

As part of the change, DNA is transferring its IT activities to a new technology unit directly under president and CEO Jukka Leinonen, to whom Aalto will report.
