Eurosport has struck a new partnership agreement with Telefónica in Spain to extend the reach of its Eurosport 360HD service, which launched on the Sky Deutschland platform last August.
The multi-feed service will be made available to Telefónica’s TV customers during the French Open tennis championship. Multiple live feeds will also be provided duing the Le Mans 24-hours motorsports event.
“Eurosport is continuously looking for new ways to make the live viewing experience for fans more immersive and more entertaining, alongside providing unique added value to our platform partners, and with Eurosport 360HD we can deliver this,” said Jean-Thierry Augustin, CEO of the Eurosport Group.
“It presents a compelling offer to our distribution partners to support their content marketing to existing and potential subscribers. The technology also puts fans firmly in control, they can experience every aspect of a live event and decide what action they want to follow.”
