UK free-to-air satellite platform Freesat has added a dedicated HD category to the channel category list on its EPG to make it easier for users to find HD services.
Freesat users with a Freetime connected TV box can select ‘list’ on their remote controls from within the TV guide to see the list of channels. Those without a Freetime box will see the HD list included in the list of categories when they open up their TV guide.
Separately, Freesat has added the HD simulcast of Scottish commercial broadcaster STV to its line up. STV HD will be avaiablle for viewers in Scotland on channel 119.
Earlier this month, Freesat added music channel Starz to its offering.
