Portuguese telecom regulator ANACOM and media regulator the ERC have launched a public consultation on the future of the country’s digital-terrestrial network.
The move follows a call by the country’s deputy minister responsible for media, Miguel Poiares Maduro for the DTT platform to be revitalised and for more content to be made available on it.
The consultation will consider questions including whether more content can be added and whether existing services should be launched in HD, as well as whether there is a case for a pay option on the platform.
The consultation will run until May 26.
