Central European Media Enterprises (CME) has appointed John K. Billock as chairman, at the same time as adding three additional directors to the board.
Billock becomes non-executive chairman of the board, following the resignation last month of predecessor Ronald Lauder – who had been at the company for two decades.
Billock also serves as a member of the board of advisors at Simulmedia and was director of TRA and TiVo Research and Analytics between 2007 to 2011. Prior to this he was director of Juniper Content Corporation and before that vice chairman and chief operating officer of Time Warner Cable.
The other directors added to the CME board are: Turner Broadcasting System International president Gerhard Zeiler; Warner Bros France president Iris Knobloch; and senior vice president, international and corporate strategy at Time Warner, Doug Shapiro.
