Yahoo is set to offer access to Vevo’s catalogue of music videos, live concerts and events from its Yahoo Screen video site in Europe in the coming weeks.
Through an extended partnership between the two firms, Vevo’s premium music video content will now be available on Yahoo Screen in the US and Canada.
In the coming weeks it will also be available on the site in the UK, Germany, Spain, France and Italy, as well as the Yahoo Screen mobile app.
“Our renewed partnership with Yahoo will bring Vevo’s programming to more music fans than ever before. Yahoo has the potential to be one of our largest partners, and our launch across Yahoo Screen and, soon in more countries and on more platforms, is a big win for viewers who want to watch their favourite music video programming anytime and anywhere,” said Vevo president and CEO Rio Caraeff.
Yahoo and Vevo first partnered in 2012, with Vevo’s content previously syndicated to Yahoo Music.
Vevo is already available in more than 200 countries in partnership with YouTube, and its broadcast-style music and video channel also available in the US and Canada on the Vevo.com website and via apps for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Windows 8, Kindle Fire, Apple TV, Samsung Smart TVs, Xbox and Roku.
