Ed Hall, the founder and CEO of UK broadcast management company, EPG broker and channel launch specialist, Canis Media, has left the firm after more than 10 years.
Hall started the business in 2001 and the company has worked in the past with the likes of Sky, Discovery, ITV, Channel 4, ESPN, Sony, Current TV, Setanta, Freeview, Freesat, QVC and BT Sport.
In 2013 Canis Media won the management contract to operate the new UK local TV multiplex, delivering local TV stations to 14 million UK homes on behalf of Comux – which Hall also established.
Hall created Comux UK in 2011 to tap into the distribution demand from potential local TV operators, and the firm was last year awarded the Ofcom licence last year to operate UK local TV digital transmission infrastructure.
Hall will remain CEO of Comux, a spokesperson for the firm confirmed to DTVE.
